Prof. Jörg F. Löffler has been selected to the class of 2021 MRS Fellows for his pioneering contributions to novel metallic materials design.
external page The Materials Research Society (MRS) has elected 15 of its members to the class of external page MRS Fellows for the year 2021. The title of MRS Fellow honors those MRS members who are notable for their distinguished research accomplishments and their outstanding contributions to the advancement of materials research, world-wide. MRS Fellows exemplify the highest ideals of accomplishment and service embodied in the MRS Mission. The maximum number of new Fellow appointments each year is limited to 0.2% of the current MRS regular membership and to those with continuous engagement with MRS.
Jörg Löffler has been elected MRS Fellow “for his pioneering contributions to novel metallic materials design that have significantly advanced the fields of bulk metallic glasses and biodegradable implant materials.”
The title of MRS Fellow will be awarded to Jörg Löffler during the MRS Spring Meeting in April 2021.
