Modern Aspects of Metallurgy

As to modern aspects of metallurgy, we research important metallurgical aspects to develop and understand technically relevant alloys and processes for sustainability. These involve atomic-scale studies of Fe–Cr alloys to be used as a base material in future fusion reactors, and new design concepts for the multi-phase strengthening of age-hardenable, lightweight Al and Mg alloys.
